Free practice guide

Start with the facts patients need.

You do not need to understand AI to check whether your dental practice is described accurately online. Start with these steps, then decide whether you need a deeper review. No signup required.

Only have a few minutes?

Open your practice website and Google Business Profile side by side. Compare the address, phone number, opening hours, and appointment link. Ask someone unfamiliar with your website to find those details on their phone.

Write down anything wrong, missing, or hard to find. That is a useful first task for your office manager or website team, even if you never buy an audit.

1. Agree on one set of practice details

Office manager: Confirm the current practice name, address including suite, public phone number, opening hours, and website. For multiple locations, make a separate list for each office. Do not combine one location's services or hours with another's.

Compare those details with the practice's own public profiles. Keep the wording truthful; do not add services or locations just to appear in more searches.

Google says complete, accurate Business Profile information helps it match businesses to relevant local searches. Location and prominence also influence local results; there is no payment that buys a better local ranking. Google's local ranking guidance.

2. Answer the ordinary questions clearly

Practice owner: Can a visitor tell where you are, which services you currently provide, how to request an appointment, and whether you are accepting new patients? Only state insurance participation, accessibility details, languages, or emergency availability after your office confirms them.

Put essential information in readable text, not only inside a picture or downloadable brochure. Avoid promises about treatment results. Your clinical team should approve any clinical wording.

3. Ask your web team to check access

Website team: Confirm that important public pages can be reached, are eligible for search indexing, and are linked from your website. Keep patient portals, forms containing private information, and account pages private. Do not remove privacy protections to make more pages searchable.

For Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Google recommends the same foundational search practices, not a special AI file or schema. Eligible pages still are not guaranteed to appear. This guidance applies to Google's search features, not every AI provider. Google's AI search guidance.

4. Make hidden business details match the page

Website team: Structured data is a machine-readable description of information on your website. If it is present, check that the practice name, location, phone, and hours match what a visitor can actually see.

This is not an AI recommendation switch. Google documents local-business structured data and its requirements, but implementing it does not guarantee a special search appearance. Google's local-business structured data guide.

5. Treat an AI answer as an observation

Office manager: If you try a local-dentist question in an AI tool, record the exact question, date, tool, answer, and any linked sources. Use public business information only. Never paste patient names, appointment details, or patient records into a visibility check.

One mention does not mean your practice is consistently visible. One omission does not prove your website is broken. Different tools, questions, locations, account settings, and times can produce different answers.

A useful note says, “Our practice was not named in this answer on this date.” It does not say, “AI never recommends us.”

6. Give your team a small, specific job

Start with an incorrect fact or a missing essential detail, rather than a full website rewrite. You can copy this handoff into your own task list:

Practice location:
Public page or profile to update:
What is incorrect or missing:
Correct information, confirmed by:
Person responsible for the change:
Date published:
Date checked again:

Keep the change record about public business details. Do not include patient information, passwords, or private report links in a public task board.

7. Separate corrections from results

A published correction and a better AI answer are different outcomes. Record what changed first. If you repeat an AI question, keep the comparison conditions as similar as possible and preserve both answers.

Do not count an AI mention as an appointment or revenue. Actual inquiries and bookings require their own measurement. A visibility score alone cannot establish that a website change caused new business.

When a Seenward Snapshot helps

If you want a documented review rather than scattered screenshots, a Snapshot brings together sampled provider-API answers, public-source evidence, and prioritized corrections for one practice location. A human reviews the report before release.

The one-time Snapshot is $149. The first-10 free-pilot offer is subject to availability; check the pricing page before applying. A free pilot is for candid private feedback, not a required public review.

Provider-API results are not identical to consumer chat apps. Seenward does not guarantee recommendations, rankings, appointments, or revenue. Read the methodology and limitations before purchasing.

See what the sample report contains or view pricing and free-pilot availability.

Who makes the website changes?

You or your website team do. The optional $349 Implementation Kit provides implementation materials for the agreed scope; it is not a done-for-you website service. Your implementer may charge separately.

You do not need to buy the Kit to use your Snapshot. If you have no one available to make changes, discuss that with us before purchasing a Kit. Compare the two offers.
